5 Generations under one roof, and 4 of them carrying the patronymic *vum Rousegaard*

=^..^=
Health - Temper – Care - Type & Standard!
                                                         ........for me certainly!!!

We are British shorthair breeders located in Luxembourg!
The name *vum Rousegaard* cattery
is registered since 1999 with the FIFé
I first of all wish to thank my family for their full support in breeding, shows, and everyday life among cats…
My husband Thomas in particular has always been my best supporter. Without his support, both psychological and financial, I would never have been able to go ahead on the road to success in the breeding world!
In our breeding program, we are focusing on the  *silver Shaded* colour that I breed since 2000.
In May 1999, our first silver dam, Pauline  (born on March 05, 1999) came from Belgium and joined our family... and on April 27, 2000 she gave birth to our first vum Rousegaard brood!
In our work with the Silver Shaded colour we aim at preserving the Silver!
This means that as far as possible we only marry Silver Shaded dames and sires together!

In some of the lines some *Golden* is present, but we hope for silver kittens!

It took me time to discover and appreciate the Golden colour, ;)!  7 seven years, actually...  but at least, in June 2007, finally, we welcomed home our first little lady,  *Varaiya*  ;)
However, also in the golden colour, I set myself a target and only time and patience will help me to accomplish it   :)

Anyway, if everything goes smooth and according to planning,

The first  *Golden* kittens will be born some time in the Summer 2008 in Luxembourg!

However I still have a long way to go. In any case, I am already grateful to the 3 breeders who entrusted my adorable *Goldens* to me ;)

My main objective:
People who will buy one of my kittens will be given a healthy and properly socialized animal.  We find it highly important that our cats get all what they need, not only the parents but also and above all the kittens, during the first 12 weeks of their life that they spend with us!
Our second scope is to carefully select the cats we breed in order to keep the welfare of the British breed and as close as possible to international standards!!
All our cats are born from PKD DNA negative parents and undergo ultrasounds tests to detect HCM! Parents  are also tested  FelV/FIV !
All our cats and kittens are given all their requested shots (primo-vaccination and boosters) and are regularly wormed, including, for the kittens, on the day of their departure to their new family!  And last but not least, all our animals are chipped!
My whole family loves animals! Our cats are full family members and live with us, sharing the whole house! The kittens are born in our bedroom and there, they spend the first 6 weeks of their lives, well, more or less, as it also depends on the mother cat. After that, they go to the conquest of the whole house and all its inhabitants, dogs included. It can sometimes be very funny.
All our animals have complete socialization skills and live together with our children (11 and 13) who treat them with respect and love!!
I love to take part in cat shows to submit my cats to international judges! Titles are by no means necessary, but all our cats are used to shows since they are babies and I never had any problem in hotels when I am attending a show. I am sincerely finding I can be proud of them. Over the years, they won many times the *Best Variety*,  *Nominations* and *Best in Show*! However, it is neither important nor necessary, but I may be proud of my cats, may I not?
Of course, I love all my cats with the same love, with or without titles, whether best or not, but I find it right to take them to shows from time to time :)
I ask the same price for each of my kittens… I make no difference whether the cat is acquired for cat shows, breeding stock or as companion pet!!
I always prefer to sell my cats for company, but this does not mean that I never sell cats for breeding. However, the purchaser must share my ideas on type and colour!

Our kittens will leave us for their new home when they are 12-week old minimum, fully vaccinated, wormed and chipped,
with a FiFé pedigree
Important!
The kitten remains our full property until the day he leaves the house for his new family.
The purchaser is free to cancel the reservation up to the very last minute…
But this is also my right!
These kittens I breed with commitment and pride, these kittens that grow in our house surrounded by love and wrapped in cuddles,
these kittens, believe me, I do not sell them to just anyone...

Cats out of our cattery lives in:
